Worldwide 2003 - 2008 Strengthening fishery products health conditions in the ACP Countries (African, Caribbean and Pacific)  and the UK and Netherlands Overseas and Territories (OCT) States Improve the access of ACP/OCT fisheries products to the world market, by strengthening export health controls and improving production conditions in beneficiary countries. Particular attention is given to ensure that products from small-scale fisheries are not excluded from global markets.The Project has 4 lots:  1.Studies and artisanal fisheries support;  2.Advice on sanitary controls for public and private sectors;  3.Advice and training to testing laboratories;  4.Training for public and private sectors (except laboratory training). Angola 2002 - 2003 Rehabilitation of the Food Industry The project objectives were:  - Assess the food safety assurance system, including the general organization, regulations, capacities of regulatory authorities and support institutions (R&D and training, labs, etc.) - Assist in the organization and conduction of an awareness strengthening seminar INFOPESCA
Romania 2001- 2002 HACCP and Pre-requisite programmes for the fisheries industry Training project for the Romanian government competent authority and industry in international food safety systems, based on the HACCP approach. Workshops were held on pre-requisite programmes and on HACCP. A final audit visit to factories in the programme was followed by a review workshop EUROFISH

Poland 2002 Quality management workshop for the fisheries industry Courses on pre-requisite programmes, HACCP and risk management for fish processors, health officers and veterinary inspectors. In total 31 people - fish processors, health officers and veterinary inspectors - were trained. The expertise built up during the workshops was then disseminated throughout the fishery branch by the Polish experts EUROFISH

Albania 1999 Technical Assistance to the Fishery Directorate The project scope was to assist the Fishery Directorate to establish the first fisheries and aquaculture Strategic National Plan. Eurofish provided short-term experts on aquaculture, fish processing and, fishery credit and investment whose missions are shortly described below: identification of aquaculture development priorities that would eventually be included in the National Fishery Strategic Plan, assessment of the Albanian fish processing sector, recommendations on the needs of the sector, seminar on an introduction to HACCP, report on opportunities for sourcing credit for the fisheries sector, including aquaculture EUROFISH
