project objectives were: to carry out a study of the situation of the domestic market
of fish and fishery products in Managua with the objective of train
women of the Nicaraguan fishery sector. The situation diagnosis approached
the following topics: domestic market; artisanal communities; the
woman in the industrial activity; fish sale retailers; fishmarkets;
supermarkets; etc. Basing
on the conclusions of the study is planned next year to develop training
material to carry out a series of training seminars for the Nicaraguan
women of the sector |

The project
scope was to assist the Fishery Directorate to establish the first
fisheries and aquaculture Strategic National Plan. Eurofish provided
short-term experts on aquaculture, fish processing and, fishery credit
and investment whose missions are shortly described below: identification
of aquaculture development priorities that would eventually be included
in the National Fishery Strategic Plan, assessment of the Albanian
fish processing sector, recommendations on the needs of the sector,
seminar on an introduction to HACCP, report on opportunities for sourcing
credit for the fisheries sector, including aquaculture |
